The reaction of [MoO2(dedtc)2](dedtc =N,N-diethyl dithiocarbamate) with MeCONHOH produces the salt cis-[NH2Et2][MoIVO2(MeCONHO-O,O)(MeCONO-O,O)]3 whose novel H-bonded polymeric structure is established by X-ray diffraction; 3 undergoes N-protonation to form [MoO2(MeCONHO-O,O)2].
