Preparation of a cobalt analogue of verdoheme by coupled oxidation of cobalt(II) octaethylporphyrin
Abstract
Conditions are reported which allow octaethylporphyrin cobalt(II) to be oxygenated to from the verdoheme analogue, octaethyloxaporphyrincobalt(III) dichloride, which has been isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction.
