Abstract

Controlled potential oxidation of [Cu(H2dped)]1+1 in 1,2-dichloroethane or reaction of [Cu(H2O)6](BF4)2 with H2dped in acetone affords the complex [Cu(H2dped)]2+2i.e. a CuII species stabilized by a soft–hard (P2N2) ligand set.
