Faraday communications. A new approach to the study of dissolution kinetics

A new technique, employing the scanning electrochemical microscope, is proposed for the investigation of dissolution kinetics under conditions of both well defined mass transfer and surface structure. Preliminary dissolution studies on copper sulfate pentahydrate single crystals demonstrate the validity of the technique.
