The neutral gallium(III) compounds L3Ga, L2GaCI and [L2GaOH]2(L =-C6H4-o-CH2NMe2) are synthesized and shown by X-ray crystallographic analysis to adopt trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometries; L3Ga is the first example of a five-coordinate triorganogallium(III) complex.
