Oxo–nitrosyl complexes of the type [M4O12M′(NO)2{RC(NH)NO}2{RC(NH2)NHO}2]2–[M = M′= Mo, R = Me, Et (1), PhCH2 or 2-thienylmethyl (2); M = M′= W, R = Me; M = W, M′= Mo, R = Me] have been prepared; 1 and 2 have been characterized by X-ray diffraction.
