The non-alternating ground-state conformations of some simple eclipsed carbon–carbon and nitrogen–carbon bonds. X-Ray crystallographic evidence and molecular mechanics calculations

Abstract

Some simple carbon–carbon and nitrogen–carbon bonds which have eclipsed ground-state conformations are shown to be non-alternating, from structural information in the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Base or from molecular mechanics calculations.
