Dalton communications. 1-Triphenylstannyl-nido-pentaborane(9): an example of 119Sn–11B coupling in a pyramidal borane

Abstract

When K[B5H8] is stirred with SnClPh3 at room temperature for 12 h, it affords only the 1-(SnPh3)B5H8 isomer, for which 119Sn and 11B NMR spectra exhibit 119Sn–11B coupling, the first such observation for a pyramidal borane.
