Total synthesis of (+)-dihydrocompactin

Abstract

The total synthesis of (+)-dihydrocompactin 1 has been achieved by employing the double Michael reaction of 3-tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy-1-acetylcyclohexene with methyl crotonate as a key step.
