The novel cyclic heteropolyoxo-metallate anion [Te6Mo12O60]12– representing the first inorganic derivative of a hitherto unknown cyclic hexatelluric acid has been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by X-ray structure analysis of a single crystal of (NH4)12[Te6Mo12O60]·8H2O.
