The preparation and structure of [Te4Nb3O(Te2)2I6]I containing a Te42+ polycation coordinated to a transition metal cluster

Abstract

High temperature reaction of niobium, NbOl3, tellurium and iodine produces [Te4Nb3O(Te2)2I6]I 1, which contains one square planar Te4 ring and two Te2 groups coordinated to a trinuclear metal cluster.
