Thiol-induced conversion of (Z)-4-o-acetoxybenzylidene-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-5-ones into 3-benzoylaminocoumarins

Abstract

Toluene-α-thiol induces cleavage of the 1,5-bond of (Z)-4-o-acetoxybenzylidne-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydrooxazol-5-ones in triethylamine-containing ethanol to give 3-benzoylaminocoumarins
