Faraday communications. Microwave spectroscopy of pyrolytically produced, rapidly isolated transient molecules

Abstract

31 P Spin–rotation hyperfine splitting has been observed in the 101â†000 transitions of CH2[double bond, length as m-dash]P35Cl and CH2[double bond, length as m-dash]P37Cl by pulsed-nozzle, FT microwave spectroscopy. The transient molecules CH2[double bond, length as m-dash]PCl were produced by using a pyrolysis nozzle and then isolated on the ca. 10 µs timescale.
