Abstract

The complex (tmtaa)Ti[double bond, length half m-dash]O undergoes [2 + 2] cycloaddition of the Ti[double bond, length half m-dash]O bond across the C[double bond, length half m-dash]O bond of ketones and [(C5Me5)Re(CO)2(NO)]+, the S[double bond, length half m-dash]O bonds of SO2 and SO3, the C[double bond, length half m-dash]S bond of CS2, and ring opens epoxides and cyclic anhydrides to give metallacycles.
