Reactions of (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)di(carbonyl)(tri-2,4,6-tert-butylphenyl)iminophosphaneiron with electrophiles: formation of metallophosphenium complexes

Abstract

Reactions of [(η⁵-C₅Me₅)(CO)₂Fe–PN(2,4,6-Bu^t₃C₆H₂)]1 with chlorosilanes afford the metallo-halo-aminophosphanes [(η⁵-C₅Me₅)(CO)₂Fe–P(Cl)N(SiMeR₂)(2,4,6-Bu^t₃C₆H₂)]2 and 3; the metalloaminophosphenium complexes [(η⁵-C₅Me₅)(CO)₂Fe–PN(R′)(2,4,6-Bu^t₃C₆H₂)]⁺BF₄^–4 and 5 were obtained by treatment of 1 with oxonium salts, and rearranged to form the cationic azaphosphorinane complexes 6 and 7.
