Reactions of (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)di(carbonyl)(tri-2,4,6-tert-butylphenyl)iminophosphaneiron with electrophiles: formation of metallophosphenium complexes

Abstract

Reactions of [(η5-C5Me5)(CO)2Fe–P[double bond, length half m-dash]N(2,4,6-But3C6H2)]1 with chlorosilanes afford the metallo-halo-aminophosphanes [(η5-C5Me5)(CO)2Fe–P(Cl)N(SiMeR2)(2,4,6-But3C6H2)]2 and 3; the metalloaminophosphenium complexes [(η5-C5Me5)(CO)2Fe–PN(R′)(2,4,6-But3C6H2)]+BF44 and 5 were obtained by treatment of 1 with oxonium salts, and rearranged to form the cationic azaphosphorinane complexes 6 and 7.
