Trimethylenemethane complexes of ruthenium via the trimethylenemethane dianion

Abstract

Reactions of Li2[C(CH2)3] or of H2C[double bond, length half m-dash]C(CH2SnMe3)2 with (arene)ruthenium dichlorides 2 lead to trimethylenemethane ruthenium complexes; the structure of Ru{η4-C(CH2)3}(η6-C6H6)3 has been determined crystallographically.
