Reduction and stereochemistry of terrecyclic acid A and its derivatives

Abstract

Two kinds of hydride (sodium borohydride and diisobutylaluminium hydride) and catalytic hydrogenation have been used to reduce terrecyclic acid A 1 and several derivatives 5,6,7 and 15. Some interesting stereochemical results were obtained.
