Detection of C-chlorophosphaethyne, ClC[triple bond, length half m-dash]P, by microwave spectroscopy

Abstract

C-Chlorophosphaethyne, ClC[triple bond, length half m-dash]P, is produced by flow thermolysis of trichloromethylphosphonous dichloride, Cl3CPCl2, over zinc metal at 530 °C, and is detected by microwave spectroscopy.
