Use of a trinitrobenzenesulphonate electrode for the kinetic determination of copper(II) and reducing sugars
Abstract
The trinitrobenzenesulphonate ion-selective electrode was used for the kinetic determination of reducing sugars. The electrode was also used for the determination of rate constants and activation energies. The catalytic effect of copper(II) on the reaction of trinitrobenzenesulphonate and sulphide in alkali solution was used for the kinetic determination of the cation in the range 1–30 µg ml–1.
