Macrocycle reorientation in solid 18-crown-6 complexes detected by 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectroscopy

Abstract

Solid state 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectra of 18-crown-6 complexes indicate reorientational motions of the macrocyclic ether, at or near room temperature, in contrast with apparently static X-ray structures.
