Electrical conduction in novel Langmuir–Blodgett films based on 2-trifluoromethyl-5,6;11,12-bisepidithiotetracene

Abstract

The first preparation of stable monomolecular layers at the air–water interface and Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) films containing the title compound are described; after exposure to iodine vapour the LB films exhibit an in-plane conductivity of 1.2 × 10–4 S cm–1.
