Electrical conductivity of novel Langmuir–Blodgett films containing ethyl β-apo-8′-carotenoate, an amphiphilic carotenoid

Abstract

The first preparation of stable monomolecular layers and Langmuir–Blodgett films containing the title compound is reported; electrical conductivities parallel and perpendicular to the layer plane have been determined prior and subsequent to iodine vapour treatment of the films.
