Ruthenium-cluster-catalysed reductive carbonylation of nitrobenzene: X-ray structure of [Ph4P][Ru3(CO)10(PhNCHO)], a catalytic intermediate
Abstract
The ruthenium cluster [Ph4P][Ru3(CO)10(PhNCHO)] has been structurally characterised and shown to play an important role, along with its precursor [Ph4P][HRu3(CO)9(PhNCO)], in the hydroxide- or methoxide-promoted reductive carbonylation of nitrobenzene.
