Abstract

Two new N-bonded diazoalkane complexes M(CO)4(PPh3)[N2C(SiMe3)2](3a, M = Cr; 3b, M = W) have been synthesized from the reaction of the trimethylsilyldiazomethane anion Me3SiCN2– with the parent compounds M(CO)5(PPh3)(2a, M = Cr; 2b, M = W) in the presence of Me3SiCl.
