Source of chiral recognition in coraplexes with phenylglycine as guest

Abstract

Crystal structures of L-PhCH(CO2H)NH3ClO4·(SS)-Me2T(OEOEO)2T (4)(T = bitetralyl component, E =–CH2CH2–) demonstrate that high chiral recognition in complexation between hosts and amino acid guests is subject to design.
