Synthesis and chemistry of cycloheptatrienyltricarbonylruthenate(1–), [(η3-C7H7)Ru(CO)3]–
Abstract
Controlled deprotonation of (cycloheptatriene)tricarbonylruthenium (1) yields the anionic complex [(η3-C7H7)Ru(CO)3]–(2) which reacts with Ph3SnCl to give fluxional (η3-C7H7)Ru(CO)3SnPh3 and (η5-C7H7)Ru(CO)2SnPh3, and which can be converted into the cycloheptatrienyl bridged heterobimetallic complexes (µ-C7H7)Ru(CO)3RhL2(L2= cyclo-octadiene, 2CO).
