Determination of nanogram amounts of iodine by chemisorption on metals and subsequent isotope dilution. Application to biological reference materials
Abstract
Iodine was determined at nanogram concentrations by chemisorption on gold and subsequent isotope dilution. Detection limits of 1 p.p.b. for natural waters and 50 p.p.b. for biological materials were obtained. The method was applied to the determination of iodine in the biological reference materials SRM 1577 bovine liver, IAEA A-11 milk powder and IAEA H-8 horse kidney.
