Multi-function valve for flow injection analysis

Abstract

An injection valve for flow injection analysis has been developed that has three functions, stopped-flow, merging zone and stopped-flow combined with merging zone. The dispersion and synchronisation of the merging zone method and its mechanical stability were investigated. In addition, the enzymatic assay of glucose with enzyme reagents was investigated and good results were obtained. The optimum procedure allows the assay of glucose at a rate of 20 determinations per hour.
