Thermogravimetric determination of chlorine in reforming catalysts
Abstract
Thermogravimetric analysis has been applied successfully in determining the amount of chlorine in certain reforming catalysts of the platinum-alumina and (platinum + iridium)-alumina type. The results obtained were comparable to those obtained using a standard method of testing. This simple and rapid technique is potentially useful and can be considered as a supplementary tool to the conventional method of analysis.
