On-line sequential detection by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry of trace elements after liquid chromatography of biological fluids

Abstract

A sequential inducitvely coupled plasma system coupled to a high-performance liquid chromatography column was used to study the distribution of copper, iron, zinc and cobalt in human blood serum, milk serum, seminal fluid and synthetic standards. The factors that affect the resolution of the constituents on the column were investigated and optimised.
