Single-crystal proton ENDOR of the SO 3 centre in γ-irradiated sulphamic acid

Abstract

The proton ENDOR spectra of the SO3 centre in irradiated crystals of sulphamic acid are rich but poorly resolved. Coupling tensors for three protons have been determined; for two of them it being necessary to assume that the tensors were uniaxial. The relation of the proton coordinates estimated from the tensors to those of hydrogen atoms in the undamaged crystal, which are known from neutron diffraction, is discussed.
