Fluorescence inner filtering in double-pass cell configurations. Part 3. Secondary inner filtering

Abstract

In papers in this series, relationships for primary inner filtering in double pass cell configurations were derived and evaluated. This paper extends the diagnostic technique to include secondary inner filtering in the absence of the primary inner filter effect. An empirical treatment of the data indicates that the same equations for primary inner filtering are applicable to the secondary effect and that it should be possible to quantify secondary inner filtering in the same fashion as primary effects.
