Selective formation of C3 hydrocarbons from co + H2 using cobalt–manganese oxide catalysts

Abstract

We report a stable Co-containing CO hydrogenation catalyst with high selectivity for C3 hydrocarbons which can be rationalised in terms of competing hydrogenation and oligomerisation reactions of the primary hydrocarbon products.
