Resonance Raman observation of the FeIV
O stretching vibration in models for the active site of horse radish peroxidase compound II
Abstract
The tetrahydrofuran and 1-methylimidazole adducts of ferryl (FeIV
O)‘picket fence’ porphyrin, a model for horse radish peroxidase compound II, exhibit FeIV
O vibrations, located at 829 and 807 cm–1 as shown by resonance Raman spectroscopy.
