Partial oxidation of methane by nitrous oxide over Bi2O3–SnO2

Abstract

On a Bi2O3–SnO2 catalyst N2O partially oxidizes methane to formaldehyde with a selectivity of 95–84% at 1.7–2.7% conversion at 550 °C.
