Unusual promotion of the dehydrogenation activity of supported platinum by mercury in low concentration
Abstract
Mercury is found to increase the rate at which oxide-supported platinum catalyses the dehydrogenation of cyclohexene at 423 K in concentrations several orders of magnitude lower than that of which promoters normally operate.
