Synthesis and crystal structure of the novel cyclometallophosphine complex Re4Cl2(CO)15{MePP(Me)PMe}

Abstract

Pyrolysis of tetrakis(methyldichlorophosphine)nickel(0) with decacarbonyldirhenium leads to the formation of the tetranuclear complex Re4Cl2(CO)15{MePP(Me)PMe}, the eight-electron donor triphosphine ligand forming a four-membered cyclorhenatriphosphine ring.
