Metal ion dependent selective cleavage of P–O–S linkage in the methanolysis of phenyl phosphosulphate

Abstract

Metal ions with small ionic radii promote the selective O–S bond cleavage of phenyl phosphosulphate, whereas those with larger ionic radii catalyse the selective P–O bond cleavage of phenyl phosphosulphate.
