Determination of inorganic anions in water extracts of plants and soils by ion chromatography

Abstract

An ion chromatographic method with indirect ultraviolet detection is described for the determination of chloride, nitrate, phosphate and sulphate anions in water extracts of plant materials and in displaced soil solutions. A procedure for overcoming interferences from aspartic and glutamic acids is described and the accuracy and precision of the method are discussed.
