Reaction of methylperoxy radicals with methanol and formaldehyde at 600 K

Abstract

The first direct measurements on the reaction of methylperoxy radicals with methanol and formaldehyde have been made using molecular modulation spectrometry. A simple kinetic analysis has yielded rate constants of 3.2 × 10–18 and 2 × 10–17 cm3 molecule–1 s–1, respectively, at 600 K.
