The crystal structure of the alkyltrihydroborate[(thf)Li(µ-H)3BC(SiMe2Ph)3], (thf = tetrahydrofuran)

Abstract

Molecules of the compound [(thf)3Li(µ-H)3 BC(SiMe2Ph)3], (thf = terahydrofuran) made by reduction of difluoro-{tris(dimethylphenylsilyl)methyl}boron with LiAlH4, have been shown by X-ray crystallography to have almost C3 symmetry, with tridentate bridges between alkyltrihydroborate and lithium.
