Bimorphic lattice theory of electrolyte solutions. Analysis of conductivity data
Abstract
The lattice-model adaptation of the Debye–Hückel–Onsager equivalent-conductivity equation is accomplished by substitution of 1.7476(2000NC)1/3 for the mean reciprocal radius of the ionic atmoshere. The form of higher-order terms in the conductivity equation is determined partly by data-fitting requirements and partly by theoretical analysis of the field dielectric gradient retardation effect. By curve fitting techniques the lattice theory is found to be consistent with conductivity data.
