On the biosynthesis of the antibiotic myxovirescin A1 by Myxococcus virescens

Abstract

13 C N.m.r. spectroscopy has been used to deduce the labelling patterns of the antibiotic myxovirescin A1 derived from 13C-Iabelled acetate methionine, and glycine which are all incorporated during biosynthesis by Myxococcus virescens.
