X-Ray crystal and molecular structure of [Co8(µ6-As)(µ4-As)(µ4-AsPh)2(CO)16]2

Abstract

The compound [Co8(µ6-As)(µ4-As)(µ4-Asph)2(CO)16]2, synthesized from cyclo-(PhAs)6 and Co2(CO)8 under mild reaction conditions, has been shown by X-ray analysis to possess a ‘cluster-of-clusters’ assemblage of ConAs4–n distorted tetrahedral units.
