Reversed-phase paper chromatographic studies of some rare earth elements
Abstract
Reversed-phase paper chromatographic studies of rare earth elements such as scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, neodymium and cerium have been carried out on Whatman No. 1 filter-paper, impregnated with trioctylamine, triisooctylamine and Aliquat 336 S as stationary phases and using organic complexing agents such as sodium acetate, sodium malonate and sodium succinate solutions as the active mobile phase. Results for the separation of ternary and quaternary mixtures are reported.
