Interaction second virial coefficients for neon + argon mixtures at low temperatures

Abstract

Two published sets of vapour–liquid equilibrium data for mixtures of argon and neon have been analysed to give interaction second virial coefficients for Ne + Ar in the temperature range 84–138 K. These results are compared with other values for higher temperatures and with a single point for 90 K. The complete set of results is found to be self-consistent and to be compatible with the predictions of an intermolecular potential function based on a variety of other types of experimental data.
