Ionic partial molal volumes in organic solvents

Abstract

This paper discusses the non-thermodynamic method used by Krumgalz to split the limiting partial molal volumes of electrolytes in organic solvents into the ionic contributions. The arguments raised by Krumgalz against the ultrasonic vibration potential–density method for the experimental determination of the ionic partial molal volumes are shown not to be valid.
