Solute–solvent interactions in water + t-butyl alcohol mixtures. Part 11.—Enthalpies of transfer of ammonium and tetra-alkylammonium salts

Abstract

Enthalpies of solution of tetra-alkylammonium halides (from ammonium to tetrapentylammonium) in mixtures of water and t-butyl alcohol (from 0 to 40% by weight) are reported.

Enthalpies of transfer thus obtained are discussed in terms of solvent structure and solute–solvent interactions.
