Fast electron-transfer reactions

Abstract

Rate constants for electron transfer involving redox ions and adsorbed dye molecules on the surface of organic crystals have been determined in the range close to the maximum rate constant and in the very exergonic range. The role of spin conservation and of the decrease in the rate constant in the very exergonic range is discussed.
