Synthesis, structure, and potential biological implications of r-4-hydroperoxy-t-5-hydroxy-4-methylimidazolidin-2-one
Abstract
The reaction of 2-amino-4-methyloxazole, a topical anti-inflammatory agent, with hydrogen peroxide gave the title compound which was characterised by 1H n.m.r., i.r., and mass spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.
